Job Responsibilities: The job responsibilities of the Project Consultant will include, but are not limited to –

  • Assisting the team to develop project proposals, implementation strategies, action plans and detailed project reports,
  • Assisting the team to develop data collection formats and carrying out site visits,
  • Assisting the team in developing training programs and organising trainings and workshops,
  • Assisting the team in preparing presentations, workshop reports, progress reports, minutes of meetings etc.,
  • Assisting ERAF mentors with research, writing technical papers, preparing presentations course modules etc.


Required Skills:

  • Professional, positive work ethic and desire to make a difference,
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed and work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team,
  • Familiarity with the Environment Protection Act, 1986, and its rules and regulations, EIA, SBM, SDGs, HSE, ecosystem services and other relevant concepts,
  • Experience in sample collection and analysis,
  • Ability to analyse and collate data,
  • Ability to carry out desk research, 
  • Adept in using online platforms to mine subject specific literature, 
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations using various mediums,
  • Excellent reading, writing and communication skills in Marathi, Hindi and English,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of Environment Studies


Work experience:
minimum 2 years’ experience in projects such as EIAs and ESRs involving data management, or any other environment-based projects would be preferred

Salary: Rs. 6,00,000 to Rs.8,40,000 per annum

Current opportunity: ERAF is looking for a dynamic professional, who has knowledge and experience of Environment and Social Impact Assessment, Environment Management, Environmental Risks and Mitigation, Disaster Management and is versed with the Environmental Laws and Regulations prescribed by the Government of India in relation infrastructure projects, to be part of our team.

Job Responsibilities: Broadly, the job responsibilities of the Project Manager will include, but are not limited to –

  • Coordinating with the client, ERAF staff and external subject matter experts to ensure that the project priorities are on track,
  • Meeting with clients and understanding the process and requirements,
  • Activities related to Environment and Social Impact Assessment Studies – 
  • field studies, desk research and data analysis,  
  • preparing pre-feasibility reports, implementation strategies, action plans, and detailed study reports, as prescribed by the clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Filling Form 1, Form 1A (if needed for sector), and Form 2
  • Filling Application for EIA/EC
  • Preparation of EIA/ EC report and presentation
  • Organizing stakeholder consultations
  • Develop new project proposals based on research and interaction with clients, 
  • Preparing and making presentations, of reports, documentation of minutes of the meetings and field visits etc., 
  • Developing contents of training modules on subjects related to environment management,
  • Assisting team members and ERAF mentors with research, writing technical papers, preparing presentations, study reports, course modules etc.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineering Graduates or Postgraduates in the field of Environmental Studies or equivalent educational qualification and experience.
  • Work experience: minimum 5 years’ experience in environment impact studies, social impact studies and/or environment status reporting for Environmental, Forest and CRZ Clearances for developmental project; environmental data management; environment conservation or other similar environment-based projects would be preferred.

The qualifications can be relaxed in case of deserving candidates at the discretion of the interview committee.
