Objective

To promote ground-level knowledge and understanding of the importance of procedures for HSE by –

  • Conducting site visits to inspect the status of compliance of the HSE procedures and interacting with site staff and workers
  • Orientation on relevant rules, regulations and notifications issued by the government under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, Buildings and Other Construction Workers (Regulations of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 and Explosives Rules, 1983
  • Creating awareness of the disadvantages and advantages of compliance of the HSE procedures among the supervisors and workers
  • Guiding the site officials and staff on key procedures to be maintained and regularly inspected to ensure HSE compliance on the sites

Conclusion

As a result of these site-level orientation programmes awareness of requisite HSE procedures was created amongst all levels of site personnel.
